IT’S NOT OKAY

It’s OK to be a Black man or a Black woman, it’s not OK to be poor;

It’s OK to live in Africa; it’s not OK to live in poverty;

 

 

It’s OK to be an African; it’s not OK to lack an identity;

It’s OK not to be able to speak in English; it’s not OK not to be able to communicate;

 

 

It’s OK not to be able to afford the best hospitals; it’s not OK to be unhealthy;

health

 

It’s OK not to have attended an elite school or a prestigious school; it’s not OK not to have a skill. Even Jesus was a carpenter i.e. ‘fundi wa mbao’

skills

 

It’s OK not to own a flashy cell phone; it’s not OK to be incommunicado;

incommunicado

 

It’s OK not to own a car; it’s not OK to be stagnant;

 

It’s OK not to be a CEO; it’s not OK to be unproductive;

unproductivity

 

It’s OK not to reside in an upmarket neighborhood; it’s not OK to not live life to the full;

full life

 

It’s OK to be from a small tribe, it’s not OK to be small minded;

ending

 

Moral of the story: Remain Black and  Proud, Love Africa, but FIX Africa 🙂
